Temperature Stability: Clay naturally insulates, keeping butter at a steady, cool temperature.
Freshness Protection: The water seal blocks odours and air, preserving butter freshness.
Easy Cleanup: Glazed surfaces make for a simple wash-up every time.
WHAT TO DO:
Prep Butter: Let butter soften until it’s easy to spread but not melting.
Spoon into Bell: Use the back of a soup spoon to scoop butter into the dry bell lid.
Add Water: Fill the base cup with 1-2 cm of cold water.
Seal & Store: Place the butter-filled lid down into the water-filled base. The water rises around the bell, sealing out air and maintaining a cool temperature. Avoid storing close to heat sources like the stove or sun.
Care: Change the water every 2-3 days. In hot weather, refresh water twice daily with ice water if needed.
